About us

LCP Foundation

Contributing to the wellbeing, prosperity, and health of the wider world is something that we take seriously. Through the LCP Foundation, we support charitable causes and local communities through matched funding and grants.

The LCP Foundation is one of our proudest achievements, allocating £250,000 in 2024/25 to a range of charitable causes that support our communities and the causes that are important to our people.

Established in 2019, the LCP Foundation gives us a formal framework to commit to supporting our local communities through matched funding and grants, all with the goal of promoting LCP as a force for social good.

We are committed to shaping a more positive future by supporting grassroots charities through grants that enhance education, provide access to basic needs, and open doors to employment, helping individuals build stronger foundations for success.

We actively engage with and support the communities that are local to our offices and the charitable causes that LCP colleagues hold dear. Our London, Winchester, Edinburgh and Cambridge Giving Back Networks seek to foster strong relationships with local and national charities. This allows us to achieve maximum impact for fundraising and volunteering, drawing on enthusiastic and widespread support from across the firm.

How the LCP Foundation supports charities

Long-term partnerships

We know a commitment to longer-term continual support is extremely beneficial to charities which is why we’re delighted to continue to support our Giving Back Network charities: Trinity Winchester and The Felix Project. We are absolutely astounded with the work that they do, which is why we have pledged £140,000 in grants over the next two years.

Employee-led grants

To ensure we support charities that are close to the heart of our people, we encourage annual nominations for charities to be considered for a grant. Our people are then asked to vote on a shortlist to decide how funds are allocated.

In March 2024, we donated £60,000 spread across four amazing charities, supporting the work of Glass Door, Friends of the Family, Drive Forward Foundation and Murray Parish Trust

Quick reaction grants

Designed to provide emergency relief or timely support, our quick reaction grants mean we can be agile in supporting UK charities in times of need. In recent years we have supported foodbanks, and charities that support refugees and those experiencing homelessness.

Recently, the Foundation pledged £5,000 to InCommon, a charity focused on connecting young people with their older neighbours in retirement homes to learn and build friendships, and a further £5,000 to the Refugee Council, who support and empower refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK.

Matched funding

We want to inspire individuals to fundraise for the charities they are passionate about and also support our Giving Back Network with the range of fundraising activities and events that they do. In the last partnership year, we supported over 50 requests for matched fundraising from our people, across a huge range of activities from marathons to afternoon tea, donating more than £25,000 to different charities.
