LCP Energy responds to the Government’s latest proposals to reach net zero

In response to the Government's Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution Kyle Martin, Head of Market Insight at LCP said:

“Tackling climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing our generation, the Government’s new proposals put the UK at the forefront of delivering net zero with decarbonisation initiatives covering the whole economy. LCP has estimated that to meet net zero by 2050 a total of £350bn of investment will be required across power generation and hydrogen production capacity alone. As such, it is crucial that a market framework that incentivises and delivers this investment is in place to achieve our decarbonisation ambitions”
