Key highlights of LCP’s year include:
- Bringing to life a vision for reforms to the pensions system. LCP’s proposals would see £1tn of pension funds working harder to better serve members, sponsors, economy and planet offer genuine win-win ideas with a reimagined funding regime.
- Leading the way in both pension risk transfer and alternative endgame solutions to help clients define and achieve their desired goals.
- The Insurance consulting team completing their 17th insurance business transfer from a standing start in 2020.
- LCP Delta, the energy arm of the business, growing to 120 people, launching in Germany, and working on exciting projects to help speed up the energy transition, including contributing to government studies on locational pricing and long-term electricity storage. The team have also worked with the Energy Network Association producing research to highlight what innovation is needed to help the UK to hit Net Zero by 2050.
- Developing LCP Transform, a groundbreaking approach to enable institutional investors to participate in the energy transition in a manner which combines LCP’s market-leading investment advisory capability with LCP Delta’s unique perspective on delivering a faster, better transition to clean energy.
- LCP's Investment team, launching an interactive climate dashboard as part of existing tool LCP Monitor, to give clients greater visibility over the impact of their assets.
- LCP's Health Analytics team working to improve health equity, working with clients to help shift health systems from importers of illness to exporters of health. In September the team published an influential paper shifting perceptions of how early intervention could help the 1 million working age people currently unable to work.
