David Lucas
I am a Senior Consultant working across LCP’s pensions risk transfer and pensions actuarial teams. I joined LCP in 2015 and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in 2018.
I provide actuarial and risk transfer advice to a diverse range of pension schemes trustees and sponsors on all aspects of their pension arrangements, with experience of working on schemes ranging in size from £10m to £bn+.
As part of LCP's award-winning pensions risk transfer team, I have considerable experience in helping trustees set their long-term strategy and de-risk their pension schemes. This often involves helping schemes to prepare for an insurance market approach in the most effective way, and working closely with the insurance market participants to help trustees execute the best possible outcome for their scheme.
I have contributed to the completion of multiple significant transactions in this area, notable examples include the c£340m Cable and Wireless Superannuation Fund buy-in with L&G, the c£250m BAT UK Pension Fund transaction with PIC, and the c£800m TUI GUPT transaction with L&G.
In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors and keeping active, and I have recently completed my first Ironman triathlon.
