As more electricity on the system comes from renewable sources such as solar and wind, the need for flexibility to balance the system will become greater. That creates a real opportunity for behind the meter resources to earn revenue by providing that flexibility.

My role at LCP Delta is to lead the Flexibility Research, which is focused on helping our clients to capture these opportunities. We communicate this within the service via mapping and tracking market accessibility, competitive landscape as well as value of flexibility across different markets. As a service we track how Demand Side Flexibility is evolving on a European wide scale, allowing customers to see the bigger picture of where oppurtunities are unfolding.

Day to day, my role involves managing the delivery and scope of the service, coordinating with the wider research team, and making sure our findings are communicated clearly back to the end clients. My goal is turn complex market developments into actionable insights, so our clients can make confident, well-informed decisions a fast changing space.
