Matthew Hankins

Principal and Epidemiology Lead

I am a Principal and Epidemiology Lead in the Health Analytics team, with more than 30 years’ experience in epidemiology, real-world evidence, biostatistics and patient-centred outcomes.

I have worked in the UK as an academic for over 20 years, lecturing in epidemiology, and research methods and statistics while conducting research in behavioural epidemiology in a wide range of disease areas. After leaving academia I have worked on both the consulting side (IQVIA, Mapi) and the commercial side (setting up the evidence generation programme for reduced-risk tobacco products with PMI Life Sciences).

I have a BSc in Life Sciences from the University of Liverpool and a PhD in statistical modelling of patient-reported outcomes from the University of Brighton.
