Camilla Nichol joined the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust as CEO in 2014, taking on a role unlike any other, preserving the history of the last great unspoiled continent.  

In this episode, LCP’s Victoria Snowden and Gordon Watchorn talk to Camilla about her role and experiences. The UK Antarctic Heritage Trust is a unique charity that preserves historic buildings and artefacts in Antarctica to help current and future generations understand and protect this important continent. Patrons include the Princess Royal, the explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes and granddaughters of the most renowned UK Antarctic explorers: Shackleton and Scott. Public engagement is done through heritage conservation, storytelling and policy advocacy.
