Ian Farrand
I help a range of trustee clients understand and tackle the wide-ranging issues they face in the ever-changing pensions landscape. Through the provision of clear and pragmatic advice, tailored to reflect each client’s specific circumstances, I enjoy helping trustees work in collaboration with sponsors and cut through to what really matters.
I have expertise in long-term journey planning and helping trustees navigate through funding negotiations, including the use of contingent contributions and other contingent assets. I have practical experience, both from a Scheme Actuary perspective, and as a member of our pension risk transfer team, in helping trustees and sponsors successfully execute insurance transactions and ultimately windup. I am also a member of our GMP equalisation experts group.
Away from work, I spend most of my time entertaining my three young daughters and trying to instil in them my passion for all things sport.
