Richard York-Weaving
I work in the Insurance Consulting team at LCP. I help clients in a wide range of areas including reserving, capital modelling and internal model validation.
I have deep expertise in motor insurance, advising some of the largest personal lines insurers in the UK as well as leading LCP's annual UK motor survey, which focuses on a range of key issues in the motor market from the Ogden discount rate through to the impact of the whiplash reforms.
I also work with a number of Lloyd's syndicates, helping to provide Statements of Actuarial Opinion and internal model validation.
My particular areas of interest include building and developing models, optimising processes and designing innovative reporting solutions to help communicate results.
I am Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and have a degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University. I am also a member of the Institute's General Insurance Research and Thought Leadership Committee (GIRTL).
