Richard Soldan
He/HimI am an experienced Scheme Actuary and lead the team of pensions advisers at LCP specialising in work with charities, housing associations, independent schools and other not-for-profit organisations. I advise both pension scheme trustees and employers that contribute to pension schemes, including a number of a well-known charities.
I help my clients manage their pension plans and reduce their pensions risks. I firmly believe the best way to succeed is to have clear goals, and to set a strategy for dealing with pensions that reflect both those goals and the employer’s finances.
I have been involved in a range of work with the Charity Finance Group, including presenting at conferences and seminars, helping CFG respond to pensions consultations to ensure the interests of charities are recognised and meeting with government officials to lobby on behalf of the not-for-profit sector.
I have particular interest in open schemes, advising one of the largest open schemes in the country, and lots of experience of multi-employer pension schemes and helping employers whose pension arrangements are run by TPT Retirement Solutions. I chair LCP’s quarterly housing network round-table sessions for key housing association representatives with pensions responsibilities.
I also specialise in advising independent schools that participate in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS). To find out more about our work on teachers' pensions click here.
