Let's talk

Katharine Blacklaws

Senior Consultant

I joined LCP Delta in 2021. As an experienced project manager, I am adept at manging projects across the energy transition for a range of clients including policy makers, networks, energy suppliers and manufacturers.

My work to date has included a comprehensive investigation of hydrogen value chains for National Grid, a detailed review of future of low carbon heating market opportunities for an investor, an international review of energy efficiency and low carbon heating policy for Scottish Government, and an assessment of network reinforcement and upgrade work of both the gas and electricity networks for Citizens' Advice.

Additionally, I have project managed a consortium of partners for an innovation project on large scale energy storage (LTES) that aims to reduce curtailment of renewable energy by storing this as heat for later use. I am also the project manager for the Community DSO project.

I have eight years’ experience working in the energy sector and prior to joining LCP Delta managed projects including tracking new renewable energy developments (REPD) from planning to fully operational for BEIS (now DESNZ) and investigating alternatives to the Supplier Obligation on behalf of a large energy supplier. I am knowledgeable in areas of renewable energy policy, government funding schemes, energy efficiency and fuel poverty.

I hold a BA (Joint Hons) in Philosophy & Politics and an MSc in Sustainability, both from the University of Leeds. I am a PRINCE2 qualified Project Manager (Practitioner Level).
