The background

Statera Energy is a developer of flexible, grid-scale energy solutions covering battery storage, pumped storage hydro, hydrogen production and peaking generation.

What the client needed and their key question(s)

Statera required robust analysis of the market opportunity for their diverse portfolio of existing and future flexible assets in the GB power system.

They needed an advisor to provide insight on the future requirement for flexibility on the GB power system, the role of their technology portfolio in meeting that need and the resulting market revenues.

Our solution

LCP Delta provided an in-depth market report on our outlook for GB power decarbonisation and the need for flexibility on the system.

We used our in-house modelling suite to produce revenue forecasts for each asset in the Statera Energy portfolio, capturing their unique characteristics including locational benefits. We had been using these tools a number of years to provide forecasts and insights to support the development of Statera’s strategy and portfolio.
