Fiduciary management training

Pensions & benefits
Bridge over a river in a town

Background

Our client was considering appointing its consultant as fiduciary manager for the scheme. In the first instance, the Trustees wanted an unconflicted view of the appropriateness of fiduciary management for them, and the alternatives available.

Our approach

We attended a Trustee meeting and presented for an hour, providing an independent overview of fiduciary management and the fiduciary market.

The outcome

The Trustees were able to ask all the questions they wanted to, gaining clarity on what fiduciary management would involve, what issues it could potentially help with, the division of responsibilities and the likely fees. This helped them to go into a fiduciary manager selection process with a better understanding of what they were looking for, which benefits the client, and helps the fiduciary managers put forward the most appropriate solutions.
